A loves B, he really does. He doesn't know how to show it at all, I mean he didn't when alive and honestly death hasn't given him much insight, but he truly does love B and he wants B to be happy for and all that good stuff! HOORAY.
Too bad he's also kind of crazy, and death has worsened that.
He wants B to be happy living A's life. He wants to see B do what he did but succeed somehow - and that includes surpassing L. He's living vicariously through B in a lot of ways, and the fact that he can only interact with B has worsened his need/dependency issues like you could not believe. He needs B to be happy, to be alive, and most of all he needs B to love him, to reassure him that it wasn't his fault and that B will fix his mistakes and that everything's going to be okay. He needs B to lie to him if that's what it takes.
Also part of him wants to bring B closer to him and just cut short the wait time, but he's waiting until B succeeds fully to move onto that stage.
I'd write haunty's feelings in reverse but I don't know them l-lol.
B loevs A too. um, a lot. kind of obsessive-like, because B has an obsessive personality and all.
see, the thing is, because he knows when people are going to die, B's got this kind of disconnect from almost everyone. plus, there's the whole orphan thing, coupled with the difficult time he spent in the foster care system, etc. he kind of just learned to train himself not to form attachments to other people - until he got to the House and met A. A was B's first real friend, the first person he formed a deep emotional connection with after his parents died, and he got kind of .... let's say wrapped up in A's life when they were at the House together.
and he was pretty much devastated when A died. ;__; took revenge on his killer, all that. and since then, he's been acting as L, of course, in tribute not only to L but to A as well. B knows his work is important, but his achievement feels kind of empty without A to share it with. B is very lonely, and his work as L is isolating, and he really, really misses A. B is very, very sad and lonely without A.
