THE MEME |
As far as actual content goes: Christmas was pretty awesome. I spent it in San Jose, with my grandmother, dad, and aunts/uncles galore.
I got to see my cousins who are made of 100% pure concentrated adorable - one's 3.5 years old and one's 1.5 years old and both are just amazingly cute. I managed to make the younger one cry just by
sitting next to her, though. I had no idea I was so frightening to small children. XD;
Present-wise, not too much - Chess on CD (project Hetachess is chugging along once I figure out what the heck to do with Pity the Child), pajamas, and 20 bucks. All wonderful stuff, of course, but
more is always good. However, I'm getting more in a few days when I go to stay with my maternal family so yay for that.
The plane rides to and from were fun. I had lost my ID but read that if I said that all they could do was select me for additional screening. On the way up, they didn't even do that, but our first flight was canceled, the one we were moved to was delayed, and all the computers in the airport shut down. Still, we got there eventually.
On the way back, we were
way back in line in the checkin line, right near the arrival/departure terminals. So I'm scanning over it, checking it carefully. "6:35 to LA... ah, good, on time... no wait that's American. Southwest...
delayed till 10:35?! That can't be right!!"
...It was.
Luckily we got put on standby for a 5:30-ish flight, and we had arrived way early so we'd be on time. I did get extra screenings this time and came up perfectly clean after some delicious molestation and having all my stuff swabbed down. Once that was done, we sat around to wait, got on the 5:30 plane with no hassle, and headed home.
Overall, everything was pretty awesome.
Now I need to lapse into delayed turkey coma I think. zzz.
