Class schedule get!



So, I got all the classes I had planned AND THEN SOME. \o/ Originally it had seemed like Psycholinguistics, which seems really really awesome, wasn't going to be available to me because of Japanese, but then I placed into 306 instead of 201 (I HAVE NO CLUE HOW) which means that a) the slot was open and b) I had enough spare credits to take five courses instead of the normal four. (For some reason, higher-level language = less credits?)

So my final schedule is Psycholinguistics, Writing 101 (mandatory), and Japanese 306 on Mondays and Wednesdays, Psychology 101 and Intro to Lit Studies on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on Friday. \o/ This is awesome. Why did nobody tell me college schedules win?

Also, despite my failure to actually get the class registration website to work (lolz), I still got all the classes I wanted. Even the nearly full ones. I HAVE THE LUCK OF THE GODS.

And as a final win note three of the classes are with Edelweiss who is my long-lost twin. Except more awesome than I am.

...and did I mention that Writing 101 is taught by the linguistics professor? (WHO ALAS IS NOT SNARKY AND BRITISH AND ADDICTED TO TEA. I THINK.:/)

And with that, a transition to emo stuff I have been thinking about for a while! Feel free to stop reading if you don't care about my RP life.



I might be dropping RR.

It's not because I suddenly haet everyone involved or because you guys are omg so meeeen or anything dramawhore-ish. I just... over my forced hiatus, I kinda lost touch with the game and the plot and everything? And now I just feel confused, lost, and unmotivated. And it's not like it'd matter much if I dropped now. XD;

Similarly, I might not ever start L*M. I dunno.

Sorry, guys. :/ I do still liek you all (and mudkipz), I just feel... out of touch, I guess?

Higher language courses are less credits at my school, too. First year they make it five hours so they have more time to beat the basic grammar into you, and then at the higher levels, when you spend more time building on all those concepts from before, and when you're expected to be a little more disciplined about studying it on your own, they reduce it to three hours a week.

Or you can be nuts like me and somehow wind up in three upper level Japanese courses because things got weird. Nine hours a week lol wut?

COLLEGE SCHEDULES ARE FUN though sometimes they win and sometimes it's like AUGH NO. Like when the only section of a class available is a three hour night course. Those are the pits.


I'll be sad to see you go, if you do, but I think after such a long break from it it's pretty understandable. A lot happened while you were out, and we're mostly in the stage of tying up all the individual characters' stories that have been building up for months, so. ♥ (Although we still got a few new apps recently in the modbox and we were all like "...WELL IF YOU GUYS ARE SURE" XD)

Similarly I will miss you lots in L*M if you opt not to start it, but I understand. (Though if you do drop it, er. Would you be mortally opposed to me flailing around for someone else to take up Marek, either close to as you wrote him or their own spin on his basic concept? If you'd rather someone else didn't, that's fine and I can totally find other plot for Leon that doesn't involve him or something, but. THOUGH I KIND OF HOPE YOU STAY AND THIS QUESTION IS ACADEMIC but I will respect whatever you go with, either way. ♥)

I am very scared about the level I am at because I think I really need more of the basic foundations or at least a crapload of review? I HAVE FORGOTTEN BASIC GRAMMAR FORMS HERE D: (okay, -aseru and -areru are not BASIC, but still.)

I do not have to wake up before like 10. THIS IS WIN. (Mondays run until 4:30, which is kinda meh because I like getting out early, but still.)


Yeah, that's the thing. XD I really ♥ Markus but I think that I should've started him sooner? (Perhaps for ULTRA DANCE DANCE RESOLUTION THIRD MIX or whatever we'll call a third one if we do it. XD)

(...you know, I had kinda forgotten about Marek. XD; CIARAN AND MARCUS WERE SO USELESS THAT I FORGOT I HAD CR. XD;;;;; I can probably start him -soon- but maybe not immediately? I do like him. And if I still haven't after a week or so poke me and we'll talk about whether I feel I can or not. Or something. But if I do drop of course I'll leave him for others~)

Oh dude, I'm totally in the same boat if that makes you feel better. XD I haven't set foot in a Japanese classroom in a year because I thought I'd finished what I needed for my minor, so I went over to start taking German instead since it's far more relevant to my major. And then I realized I needed another credit, and I could only get it from a ridiculously over-my-head class, so I talked to Fukushima-sensei and now I have six, possibly nine credit hours of Japanese ahead of me (two or three classes depending on whether I enroll in 3223, which is looking likely) and I swear I've forgotten all but the basics after a year off the horse. I made it through 3123 okay today but I'm terrified of going in there for the other two tomorrow.


We decided there wasn't going to be a third one, because we want to stop it while we still love it instead of running the same concept until we've all gotten sick of it. I'm a little sad, since I wanted to get a shot at playing a Gemini someday, but there are days when I'm like "OH GOD IN FOUR MONTHS I CAN STOP MODDING THIS GAME \o/" so it's probably for the best.

(Whatever you want to go with is fine! I'm totally willing to wait for you to start him, and if you end up dropping him, that's cool. I just love having more crazy in my diet. ♥)

♥ Yeah, I'm sorry the long break did that. But it's understandable. Even for me who has been constant, it's time to just start cutting back as the game starts toward the last months.
